Education & Workshops

Papershaker Limited is an innovative Science/ Arts workshop provider in Norfolk. The company was launched in 2011 by husband and wife team, and Creative Directors: Paul and Rebecca Osborne.  We have been very successful in facilitating and delivering a diverse range of fresh, creative experiences and challenges to schools within East Anglia.

We have extensive experience in working within an educational context, remaining sympathetic to your school timetables and prior commitments. Papershaker Limited representatives are always flexible, and they adapt very easily to unforeseen circumstances. We are fully insured. All employees have current enhanced disclosures.

We love communication, and by working with you and your students we can customise the opportunities for learning within our workshops to enable you to meet your pupil/class/school key targets. Our workshops are NOT out of a box, we like to keep our delivery fresh and from changing and challenging perspectives.

Our workshops are delivered using a variety of formats, plus we have MoTE training and experience.

We have delivered concise and satisfying half day experiences, and 3-5 full day workshops including multiple sessions lasting perhaps one or two terms. We find our workshops really capture and retain the interest of the pupils, they are sad to see us leave, and can’t wait for us to return…

We also produce a regular e-publication which we send to schools.  Please get in touch if you need more information or to book a workshop.

We are Arts Award Advisers (Bronze/Silver)

Ok, so what can we do that is different from other scientists/artists?  Well we think a few things actually.

  • As a couple we can provide either large group workshops or more complex tandem workshops.  We can also cater for more students.
  • We bring masses of skills, experience and interests.  We use this to engage our students.
  • In this age of austerity we are very competitive.  We give excellent value for money.
  • We love the challenge to dream up new workshops or adapt our existing ones to meet your needs or curriculum, so work with us.
  • Having worked in schools, we understand and are sympathetic and flexible regarding your timetables and curriculum.
  • Bucket-fulls of energy!

And we have all the things you would expect;

  • Enhanced disclosures from CRB
  • Public Liability/Indemnity
  • Experience across all key-stages
  • Special needs experience

Here is a bit more info about us:

We are two artist/experimenters living and working in Broadland Norfolk.  We like to produce amazing things and use lots of different techniques within our work.  Over the last two years we have provided workshops to groups and schools all over the UK.

“My name is Becca, my work is mainly figurative – portraits and illustrations.  My training is in Design and Applied Art which explains my interest in lots of crafts too.  I sew, knit, crochet, make things with paper, design stuff.  I am also a photographer.  I have provided workshops for schools and children’s groups as an independent, for Creative Partnerships and for Norwich Puppet Theatre.  My workshop topics are diverse and range from drawing – both indoors and out, Raku ceramics, printmaking, stamping, collage, book making and product design to puppet making and even a long term, large scale garden design project!”

“Hi my name is Paul, I am a fine art sculptor, designer, engineer, maker, performer and illustrative artist. I also lecture Ceramics and Visual Studies at Great Yarmouth College.  I am also module leader for UCS – BA Photographic and Digital Media.   I have delivered workshops through Creative Partnerships and as an independent for numerous organisations.  I also run a dramatic-inquiry Science/Arts education club.  I enjoy creative writing, web design, mobile application and computer programming..Alongside this, I am currently running our third extended schools round of experimental/creative workshops…This one is our very own School.  In a previous life I drove submarines…. That is true!”

See you all soon!!!
